HomeAI Visibility Check

Does ChatGPT find your website — or recommend a competitor?

More and more clients ask an AI first who they should hire. An AI answer usually names only two to four providers: if you are not among them, you are never compared. This check looks at your homepage across 20 checkpoints in four areas and tells you in half a minute where the gaps are.

Free, no sign-up. Only the publicly accessible homepage of the address you enter is retrieved.

What the check looks at

Everything an AI system needs in order to read you, understand you and recommend you — and what Google expects anyway.

01

AI visibility (GEO)

The core: structured data, a company that machines can identify, real questions and answers, an llms.txt — and the decisive question of whether GPTBot, ClaudeBot and PerplexityBot are allowed to read your site at all.

02

Google visibility

Page title, the description shown in search results, main heading, image descriptions, robots.txt and sitemap. Classic SEO — and at the same time the foundation AI systems draw their answers from.

03

Technology & security

Encrypted connection, display on mobile devices, technical standard and the size of the homepage. Whatever fails here costs you visitors before content even enters the picture.

04

Legal & trust

Legal notice, privacy policy, a reachable way to get in touch, address and phone number. AI systems weigh how verifiable you are — and legally risky gaps surface along the way.

I don't optimise on a hunch

GEO is a buzzword market right now. What I recommend comes from systems running in production — and from log files you can actually count.

01

Demonstrable, not claimed

On brandancy.de I read the server log files: which AI crawler fetched which page and when, and how many visitors arrived from ChatGPT afterwards. Most recently that was 221 live requests by ChatGPT and 80 clicks from AI answers in a single month. That same measurability is what I set up for you.

02

From practice, not from a course

I run marketing as a fractional CMO — for Hamburg Sotheby's International Realty, Engel & Völkers, Evernest, PINKTUM and others. GEO is not a side product here; it is part of a strategy that has to produce enquiries.

03

Implementation is part of the thinking

A report that only lists problems helps no one. Every open point comes with the concrete way to fix it — and if you like, I implement it or brief your agency so that they can.

04

Built with real estate in mind

A large part of my work is real estate marketing: owners ask an AI which agent to choose. Whoever appears there wins mandates without portal fees. More on this →

Three steps, no sign-up

01

1 · Enter the address

You enter your website. The check retrieves the publicly accessible homepage — that is all that happens; nothing is changed and nothing is installed.

02

2 · See the scores right away

Within seconds you see the overall score and the score per area, plus the three weightiest open points. Without giving an email address.

03

3 · Request the report

For every finding including the fix, you enter your email address. The full report arrives immediately — and after that, nothing else unless you want it.

What you should know about the check

What is AI visibility and why do I need it?

AI visibility — technically GEO, generative engine optimization — describes whether your company appears in the answers of ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and Google's AI overviews. The difference to Google is the size of the result set: on Google there is a position two and a position three; in an AI answer, usually two to four providers are named. Whoever does not appear there is never compared — the prospective client never learns that you exist.

What exactly does the check examine?

The check retrieves your homepage and examines 20 points across four areas: technology and security, Google visibility, AI visibility (GEO), and legal and trust signals. You get an overall score from 0 to 100 and a score per area, plus every individual finding with the matching fix.

Can my robots.txt lock ChatGPT out?

Yes, and it happens more often than people think. Many CMS templates, site builders and agencies add blanket blocks for GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot or Google-Extended — often without asking. The system in question then cannot read your site and consequently cannot recommend you. The check tells you in seconds whether this applies to you.

What does the check cost and what happens to my email address?

The check is free. You see the summary without giving an email address. For the full report I need an address, because the report is sent by email. I use it exclusively for that report and for a possible follow-up question about it — no newsletter, no sharing with third parties. Details in the privacy policy.

Does this replace a proper SEO or GEO analysis?

No. The check is an automated snapshot of your homepage. It reliably finds the fundamental gaps, but it does not replace a deep analysis across all sub-pages, content and competitors. For a full GEO analysis I additionally examine whether you appear in real ChatGPT and Perplexity answers to your most important questions — and who is named instead.

How long does it take for AI visibility to have an effect?

The technical foundations are in place within days and are usually picked up within two to six weeks. Editorial work — real answers to real customer questions — works more slowly but lasts longer. Both can be traced in the server log files: they record which AI crawler fetched which page and when.
